About Us
The Norfolk Charitable Trust supports economic development through research funding and giving grants.
The Norfolk Fellowship ProgrammeWe fund the Norfolk Fellowship Programme, which studies the operation and effect of the global economy at home and abroad. Researchers visit countries around the globe to look at specific economic issues. This work has the potential to inform government economic policy and develop the skills and experience of the researchers.
Economic Growth in the UKWe develop programmes to stimulate economic growth, working with the public and private sectors. This work is focused on areas of low economic activity in the UK.
SexybizThrough the "Sexybiz" ("Space Exclusively for Young Business") programme, we provide small and new businesses with free accommodation for their business for up to two years.
Social EnterprisesSocial enterprises often struggle to find the money to start operating. The Trust makes discretionary direct grants to assist in bridging their start up costs.
For example, we have made a small grant to the Blakeney, Cley and District Royal British Legion Club. The Club has opened an Arts and Events Centre as a social enterprise on the North Norfolk coast.
