Research
The Norfolk Charitable Trust has successfully undertaken economic development research on behalf of local council’s and developers in Cannock, Kings Lynn, Inverness and Glasgow. The aim of this research is to establish and stimulate cooperation between education providers, public authorities, private sector investors and business support groups.
King's Lynn: a model of sustainability
Kings Lynn is a model case study in sustainable development and provides a new benchmark for the future.
Through the active coordination of the Norfolk Charitable Trust, interested parties are working together within a millennium community and innovation centre. We are helping to develop more jobs and better education to help stimulate enterprise.
Studio Schools Study Tour
Studio Schools will integrate work and learning in a fundamental way by building a school into a business that is run largely by the students themselves.
The Studio Schools partnership (coordinated by the Young Foundation) proposed a study tour to New York City for representatives of each of the partner local authorities to explore the rich context for educational reform that is in evidence there and the Norfolk Charitable Trust offered their support through financing this trip.
Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia
We are delighted to sponsor a scholarship place on the world's first MBA in Carbon Management. During 2009, the students will be using Kings Lynn as a case study in the concept of a 'Live/Work' environment.
Centre for Social Justice
The Trust's donation in 2008 will be used to help establish 'Tool Kits' for individual councils in the UK who have approached CSJ for advice on how to tackle social, behavioural and economic problems. |
